Srinagar, May 14 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir will be Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) to fight the drug menace in the Union Territory (UT), a police spokesman said on Thursday evening.
He said Government of Jammu and Kashmir has accorded sanction to setting up of ANTF under the over all superintendence and Control of Inspector General of Police, Crime J&K.
He said 100 Police Personnel including Officers have been sanctioned for the Force.
Director General of Police Dilbag Singh has thanked the Lt Governor G C Murmu and his administration and said that the creation of force on police proposal will help in fighting the drug menace in the UT.
This will be yet another special wing within the Police department to deal with crimes related to drugs and their trafficking.
